A Recreation vehicle certified technician examines, troubleshoots and diagnoses problems when trailers are in need of repair and maintenance. They repair, install and maintain interior and exterior components on travel trailers, fifth wheel trailers, cargo trailers, utility trailers and dump trailers. Duties may include, but are not limited to: installation of accessories, performing pre-delivery inspections, reading and writing repair orders, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance on propane gas and electric appliances such as furnaces, refrigerators, water heaters, ranges and air conditioners. Repairs to: fiberglass body and structural components; and the ability to install, repair coverings, cabinets, counters, plumbing systems, electrical systems, propane gas systems, batteries and charging systems. Install trailer and fifth wheel hitches.

Under the general supervision of the Supervisor, Client Services, determines initial and on-going client eligibility according to Ontario Works Act & Regulations; develops, implements and monitors an employment case plan in conjunction with each participant; manages an assigned caseload of Ontario Works recipients.
1. Determines client initial and on-going client eligibility according to Ontario Works Act & Regulations by:
• Conducting interviews and completing necessary documentation
• Verifying and reviewing client circumstances as required
• Conducting initial fraud investigation and referring complex cases to Eligibility Review Officer
• Reviewing all client overpayment for accuracy and making recommendations for recovery
• Conducting investigations to determine special circumstances
• Monitoring all aspects of the client case plan
• Informing clients of rights and responsibilities
2. Develops, implements and monitors an employment case plan in conjunction with each participant by:
• Assessing employability to determine Ontario Works activities, deferrals or restrictions
• Assessing the client’s personal employment history, goals, potential and interests
• Completing, revising and updating participation agreements
• Monitoring compliance with Ontario Works activities
• Referring clients to Community and Employment placements, employment/training opportunities and resources
• Calculating and approving childcare, employment start-up benefits and employment and community expenses
• Facilitating child care placements for Ontario Works clients
3. Manages and assigned caseload of Ontario Works recipients by:
• Updating Ontario Works recipients files, records and documentation as required
• Reviewing statistical data
• Completing and commissioning all necessary documentation
• Referring clients and liaising with staff in other DNSSAB departments and external agencies
