North Bay Indigenous Friendship Centre is looking for a Summer Student to intern as a Communications Assistant. They are seeking an outgoing individual who enjoys creating social media content to create engaging material to communicate with our urban Indigenous Youth. The Communications Assistant Intern will work closely with the Communications Coordinator to create influential, informative and engaging content.
Term: June 1st, 2022 – September 2nd, 2022
Qualifications:
–Must be a returning secondary and/or post-secondary student returning to the fall of 2022
-Must be knowledgeable about the mandate of the North Bay Indigenous Friendship Centre
-Interest and/or experience in creating social media content by using Canva, Adobe Rush or any other editing software to create engaging material to communicate with our urban Indigenous Youth
-Interest in pursuing digital media studies, journalism, photography, videography or communications
-Punctual, reliable, adaptable with the ability to learn new skills
-Accepts input and direction with good reading and writing skills
-Basic knowledge in computer applications such as MS Office (Word, etc)
– Must follow the NBIFC COVID-19 and its Variants Mandatory Safety in the Workplace and Vaccine Policy
