Information Management Technician

Seeking an Information Management Technician who is highly organized, technically proficient, and detail-oriented. The ideal candidate enjoys managing data systems, supporting various departments, and performing a range of administrative tasks. The technician we are looking to hire is friendly, punctual, trustworthy, and demonstrates excellent communication and problem-solving skills. We expect all of our team members to maintain great relationships with their colleagues as well as our clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
What will your typical day look like?
- Organize, store, and retrieve data efficiently using various database systems, ensuring that information is easily accessible for team members.
- Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that will assist in making informed business decisions.
- Implement and maintain security measures to protect sensitive information from unauthorized access or breaches.
- Prepare, key in, edit, and proofread correspondence, invoices, presentations, brochures, publications, reports, and related material from machine dictation and handwritten copy.
- Open and distribute incoming regular and electronic mail and other material, and coordinate the flow of information internally and with other departments and organizations.
- Track certifications, update employee files, and maintain and update employee information such as attendance, leave, and overtime records.
- Assist with organizing, filing, storing, and scanning materials.
- Generate reports and visual aids to assist in business planning and strategy development.
The ideal Information Management Technician has the following qualifications:
- Proficiency in database management and data analysis
- Strong understanding of information security principles and practices
- Excellent mindset for problem solving
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience in administrative tasks, including document preparation, scheduling, and filing
- Proficiency in G Suite management and Microsoft Office
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with CRM systems is an asset
- Able to adapt to web based applications
- Open to learning new skills

- Candidate must be 18 years of age or older.

- Once hired, the candidate must reside in the Northern Ontario community in which they are employed.
