Duties:
-Perform prescribed cleaning tasks throughout the facility
-Monitor the levels of supplies and restock them when required in the restrooms, showers, locker rooms, fitness areas, and daycare rooms
-Assess cleaning supplies required to complete assigned task list and restock the cart with supplies from the cleaning supplies stockroom
-Conduct and record the whirlpool test on a hourly basis
-Report low levels of supplies in stockroom to the Supervisor of Facility Services
-Clean janitorial equipment and supplies
-Facility set up and take down required
-Attend staff training programs and meetings
-Practice safe work habits wearing PPE as required
-Ensure that productive devices are present and working on all tools and equipment while keeping work areas free of hazards
-Comply with WHMIS program and have a full understanding of the three inter-related components of the WHIMS program (training, labeling, and MSDS)
-Maintain current WHIMS certification
-Practice universal precautions when cleaning any body fluids or excrement
-Strive to ensure that the facilities meet the SAM standards for set cleanliness
-Building relationships with members and guests, promote as a charitable organization
-Other duties as assigned
-Current Standard First Aid and CPR-C
-WHIMS Certification
-Good interpersonal skills
-Basic literacy and math skills
-Ability to operate floor polishers, scrubbers, and burnishers considered an asset
-Current and satisfactory Police Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check
-Will learn pool testing
