Qualifications:

-Five years in related postsecondary roles, with progressively more responsibility among a multidisciplinary team where politically sensitive and potentially confidentiality information/data is routinely accessed

POSITION OVERVIEW
We are currently seeking dynamic individuals to join our Finance team as an Accounts Receivable Analyst. The successful candidate will help develop, implement and provide ongoing management of the Customer Credit Program. This includes designing and managing workflows for the entire Customer Credit program from initial credit application to the collection of payments. The AR Analyst manages the entire Customer Credit portfolio to ensure credit exposure remains within an acceptable level of risk, provides excellent customer service to ensure high degree of customer satisfaction and positive experience, is able to ensure the program attracts and retains key quality customers. This position requires a lot of data analysis and interpretation to inform decisions, policies, and guidelines for the Customer Credit Program. As well, it requires a high degree of interaction and liaising with internal clients from front line staff to the Chief Operating Officer. This position also provides direct supervision to the Account Receivable Coordinator.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Provide overall management of the Customer Credit Program from individual credit applications to management of the overall customer credit portfolio, and ultimately assisting with the valuation of Account Receivable asset.
Manage customer credit application process with a goal of improving information flow by removing unnecessary barriers and steps, and by replacing manual with automated steps where possible.
Assess customer credit applications to determine level of customer’s credit risk through review of D&B credit reports and trade references, and analysis of financial statements.
Provide your Director with recommendations of credit terms for customers as well as recommendations to deny extending terms to customers.
Set up and adjust as required, including removing, customer credit terms in the accounting system.
Monitor customer credit terms in the accounting system to ensure accuracy and avoid unnecessary risk.
Review Customer Account Statements on a monthly basis to ensure their accuracy. Ensure any required corrections are completed in a timely manner.
Analyze customer credit performance historical data to inform and update the ECL provision, on a quarterly basis.
Provide education and advice on Accounts Receivable and customer credit related workflows to ensure integrity and compliance with internal controls.
Provide coaching and support to direct report to encourage growth and development, and to empower staff to make process improvements, problem solve, and work pro-actively.
