Position Overview:
As an Accounting Assistant you will play a crucial role in assisting in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the accounting department of the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge in accounting practices, scheduling and as well as excellent analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
.Prepare and process invoices, payments, and other financial transactions.
.Assist in the preparation of month-end statements and reports.
.Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes.
.Scheduling employees for jobs and dispatching.
.Assisting in maintaining the general ledger accounts
.Support accounts payable and receivable processes, including data entry, invoice tracking, and payment processing.
.Assist with bank reconciliations and monthly/quarterly/yearly financial closings.
.Collaborate with team members to resolve accounting issues or discrepancies.
.Provide administrative support to senior accountants, including scheduling meetings and handling correspondence
Qualifications:
. Diploma in Accounting or related field
.Minimum 2 years experience in accounting or bookkeeping
.Proficiency in accounting software’s and Microsoft excel
.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
.Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
.Strong verbal and written communication skills.
.Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
