Position Summary:
Our organization is seeking a responsible and organized Office Assistant to perform various administrative, clerical, and research duties supporting the day-to-day office operations. We are looking for an efficient, resourceful, and good problem solver who is comfortable working in a team setting. In addition to the duties listed below, this position also requires assisting in daily office needs as necessary. Most importantly, the candidate needs to be comfortable in a dynamic working environment.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
.Assume control of the office budget. Log all office expense invoices, balance to monthly financial statements, and work within budgetary guidelines
.Work with Executive and Office Assistants to draft and revise a variety of documents, such as local media advisories and releases and correspondence, address inquiries/concerns/complaints
.Monitor email
.Ordering office supplies
.Any other duties as assigned by the Executive Assistant
Experience/Education:
.Post-secondary education in administrative studies or equivalent
.Related experience in an office setting
.Experience with budgeting an asset
Qualifications:
.Strong understanding of budgets and financial statements
.General office administration knowledge and experience is required
.Excellent written and verbal communication skills
.Ability to use judgment and discretion in the release of information
.Able to multi-task and manage projects and time efficiently in a fast-paced environment
.Detail-oriented and able to work independently
.Confidently handles requests from multiple sources and determines the appropriate course of action and priority, where necessary
.Strong computer skill
Details:
Nature of position: Full-Time, Monday to Friday
Salary: 50,000 per year
