. This is a leadership position responsible for the development and operation of Northern Tikes
. Oversee and manage all aspects of Food Service departments with direct communication with the Manager on a regular basis
. Responsible for stock management including but not limited to ordering from food suppliers, paper and take out suppliers as well as picking up grocery orders
. Ensure safety and sanitation protocols are followed and Health Unit Guidelines are adhered to
. Producing weekly menus and promoting specials
. Prepping and cooking food for lunch periods as well as for birthday parties
. Create and manage Kitchen schedules and daily agendas
. Supervise staff when Manager is not present
. Communicate with other member of the Management team to effectively handle all areas of operations within the business
. Correspond with customers over the phone and emails to book birthday reservations and confirm information
. Train new staff as needed
. High School Diploma or equivalent
. 3-5 years’ experience in food service industry (supervisory roles preferred)
. Ability to multitask with a positive attitude under pressure
. Customer service skills are required for this position
. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
. Schedule will be predominantly weekends and evenings, however flexibility will be required

.Supervise, coordinate and schedule the activities of staff who prepare, portion and serve food
.Estimate and order ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation
.Prepare food order summaries for chef according to requests from dieticians, patients in hospitals or other customers
.Establish work schedules and procedures
.Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage
.Train staff in job duties, and sanitation and safety procedures
.Supervise and check assembly of regular and special diet trays and delivery of food trolleys to hospital patients
.Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
