Position Overview:
As an Accounting Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the overall financial operations of our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, as well as excellent analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
.Prepare and process invoices, payments, and other financial transactions.
.Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
.Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports
.Support audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
.Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes.
.Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
.Complete the full cycle accounting process, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and payroll.
.Prepare and file government remittances, including payroll taxes, GST/HST, and other required filings, in a timely manner.
.Manage bank and credit card reconciliations, ensuring proper documentation and resolution of discrepancies.
.Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all necessary adjustments and accruals are made.
Qualifications:
.Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
.Minimum of 5 years experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
.Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
.Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
.Strong verbal and written communication skills.

.Experience with year-end closing and audit preparation.
