Potential Duties Include:
-Construct interlock driveways, walkways and patios. As well as interlock walls, installing fences, building decks etc.
-Dig ditches or trenches and perform land clearing activities
-Maintain cleanliness of job site and tools/machinery used
-Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment required to complete landscape construction projects
-Transport materials through hand lifting and carrying or by lifting with and carrying with using shovels, wheelbarrows, carts and dollies
-Operate various tools including: chainsaws, jackhammers, laser levels, measurement equipment, shovels, hammers, drills, etc.
-Coordinate with garden designer/landscape architect to ensure client’s expectations are met
-All other assigned duties
Qualifications:
-Minimum 2 years experience in the Landscape/construction industry
-Strong knowledge of Landscaping management, maintenance, and design.
-Physically fit with excellent stamina and to lift a minimum of 50 lbs and perform tasks such as crouching, standing, walking etc. repeatedly
-Safety conscious with the ability to comply with all procedures, policies and local health and safety regulations such as wearing PPE at all times
-Ability to work within a team setting and independently with minimal supervision
-Takes initiative with a strong desire to learn and time management skills
-Desire to embrace use of technology
-Ability to work in a fast paced environment and follow instructions
-Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and be alert with strong problem solving skills
-Ability to work near heavy equipment and other vehicles on a regular basis
-Detail oriented, observant and a critical thinker
-Ability to work outdoors in various conditions including heat and humidity, rain, dust, noise, and cold
-Ability to work flexible working hours (overtime and weekends)
-Strong English communication skills (verbal and written) and superior customer service skills
-Posses basic math skills
This is not an entry level landscaping position- please only refer candidates who have a minimum of 2 years experience in landscaping
Also, with the right candidate, they will start them before the spring to do snow removal etc.
