As a Window and Door Installer, candidate will be responsible for the precise installation of windows and doors in residential and commercial settings. Primary goal is to ensure the proper functioning, energy efficiency, and aesthetic appeal of windows and doors, contributing to customer satisfaction and safety.
Specific duties may include but not be limited to;
– Measure and record accurate dimensions to ensure a proper fit
– Safely transport, handle, and unload windows and doors, ensuring no damage during the process
– Install windows and doors according to manufacturer guidelines, industry standards, and project specifications
– Utilize appropriate tools and equipment for cutting, fitting, and securing materials
– Apply weather-stripping, caulking, and insulation to ensure windows and doors are sealed against the elements
– Verify proper functioning of locks, hinges, and other hardware
– Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines during all installation processes
– Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain a safe work environment.
Not afraid to work on ladders and capable to obtain Working at Heights certification prior to start
– Willing to work in adverse weather (cold, snow/rain, heat)
– Attention to detail with good problem solving skills
– Physically capable of lifting and maneuvering windows/doors/materials
– Strong manual dexterity and experience using tools
– Experience an asset but willing to train the right candidate
$17.00 – $26.00/hr depending upon experience
– Own safety boots and hard hat
– Starter tool set would be a bonus
– Driver’s license a significant asset
– Some jobs will be in Sudbury. If overnight stay s required accommodations will be provided
